The final entry deadline for The 5th annual International Business Awards is June 6. The IBAs are the "international Stevie Awards," open to all organizations worldwide. Last year's competition received entries from 33 countries, and awarded International Stevies to organizations in 25 countries.

There are dozens of categories to choose from, ranging from Most Innovative Company and Best Corporate Social Responsibility Program to Best Customer Service Department and more than a dozen categories honoring web sites.

Results of the competition will be announced in late June, and 2008 honorees will be celebrated at a gala event in Dublin, Ireland on September 8, where Lifetime Achievement Stevie Awards will also be presented to Richard Branson and French advertising legend Jacques Seguela.

Companies as diverse as Accenture, Acxiom Corporation, Harrah’s Entertainment, KV Pharmaceutical, and Teamwork Athletic Apparel are among those vying for Stevie Awards in The Sixth Annual American Business Awards.  Complete lists of Finalists in all categories are available at www.stevieawards.com/aba.  

The American Business Awards are the only national, all-encompassing awards program honoring great performances in business.  

In a nod to corporate America’s focus on “green,” the 2008 awards will present its first ever award in the Best Corporate Environmental Responsibility Program.  Finalists in this category - including InterContinental Hotels, John Hancock, and the Philadelphia Eagles - are taking action to protect the environment.

More than 2,600 entries were submitted for consideration in more than 40 categories, including Most Innovative Company, Best Executive, Best Corporate Social Responsibility Program, and Best New Product or Service.

Finalists were selected by business professionals nationwide during more than five weeks of preliminary judging.  Members of the Awards' Board of Distinguished Judges & Advisors and their staffs selected Stevie winners from among the Finalists during the week of May 19.

Stevie winners will be announced during a gala event at New York’s Marriott Marquis Hotel on Thursday, June 12.  Tickets are on sale now.

A portion of each ticket sold for the gala will be contributed to the Alliance for Climate Protection, a nonprofit, nonpartisan effort founded by Nobel laureate and former Vice President Al Gore that seeks to halt global warming by educating people that the climate crisis is both urgent and solvable.  Learn more about The Alliance for Climate Protection at http://www.wecansolveit.org/.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business are now accepting entries for their 5th annual competition. The entry deadline is August 1, and late entries will be accepted through August 30. Awards will be announced in New York in mid-November. Get the online entry kit here.
